Do you have gas central heating in your rental property? If so, then you need to read on.

From the 1st January 2013 all Gas Safe engineers can turn off any boiler and advise it is not to be used if they cannot inspect the flue.

We all aspire to ‘live how the other half live’, imagining our lives will be better if we have a bigger house, a newer sofa or a better coffee machine.

But what if the ‘other half’ are the ones wishing they were us?

The other half, to which all of those things don’t matter when their primary concern is finding somewhere – anywhere - warm to sleep that night.

I considered myself someone whose life would be better if I could attain the lifestyle of ‘the other half’ but last Saturday night I was allowed a rare opportunity to sample what the other ‘other half’ had to offer.

White Lantern Remembrance Service

11th Nov 2011 20:00

We all have people we have lost, whether it is fighting a war or fighting a war with illness. Gary Baines started the project of restoring Shoreham Fort in the memory of his Grandfather. The Friends of Shoreham Fort would like to invite you to share your memories with us by writing a message to your lost love one, on the bottom of a Eco Friendly lantern and setting them off at the fort. Laterns will be £2 if booked in advance and £3 on the night and we are hoping to raise money towards a memorial bench to be placed at the fort so that people can reflect on these memories all year round. To book your lantern please email your name and address to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. . There will be a short service before hand and refreshments available on the evening. We hope we can all share our memories together on this special remembrance day 11/11/11 and hope to see you all there.Thank you on behalf of Gary Baines and Lawton & Dawe Properties.

"Spend a Night Under the Stars and Bring Someone into the Warm"

Lucy Dawe, Managing Director of Lawton & Dawe Properties is taking part in the Worthing Churches Homeless Projects annual sponsored sleep out this Saturday 28th January 2012. This is all in aid of raising valuable funds so that WCHP can continue their vital work, providing the homeless of Worthing somewhere safe and warm to sleep at night.

If you would like to show your support, you don't need to necessarily climb into your cardboard box, you could visit and donate whatever you can.

Thank you!
